Best of Turks and Caicos Travel Guide

I just got back from a holiday trip to turks & caicos with my family & alex! We ate, we drank (virgin for me!) & we soaked up all the sun so I wanted to make a travel guide for you to check out the next time you’re in need of a little getaway. Read more to see what I wore, where I stayed, what I ate, and a little bit about what we did!

where should I stay?

We stayed at Breezy Villa, a private villa in Long Bay, Providenciales! It fits 8 people and has a stunning private pool that overlooks the beach. We spent almost all of our time in it or lounging around it.

We had our own kitchen, living room & outdoor patio & BBQ. It was perfect for the six of us! We went for the holidays so it was important to us that we had enough space to hang out, open gifts & watch movies – we even caught the last game of the world cup!

We were also close to Leeward Marina and only a 5-10 minute drive to Grace Bay Beach & Grace Bay Road where most of the shops are!

where to eat & drink in turks & caicos

We had a lot of our breakfasts, lunches & snacks at the villa, but if you’re looking for the perfect vacation snack, chips & salsa never disappoints.

vita restaurant: if you’re into lunch with a view, this is the place! they offer unique Rock ‘N’ Roll Inspired cocktails and traditional Italian dishes with Caribbean influence.

cave bar & sunset bar: if you’re looking for tropical cocktails, look no further! these restaurants are just begging you to take pictures there. the cave bar is made of natural rock walls & you HAVE to catch a sunset at the sunset bar!

kin khao thai & chinese restaurant: this place is a local fave & so good! it’s always packed but you can get take out if you want & bring it back to your hotel. it’s not fancy, but it’s tasty!

coco bistro: this place is within walking distance from most resorts & a must-do! the tables are outside under the stars & surrounded by palm trees. Not to mention, the fresh seafood is out of this world! reservations are recommended!

da conch shack restaurant & rum bar: this place is a staple on the island! if you’re looking for a tiki bar that offers vegetarian dishes, live music, djs & yummy desserts, this is your place. we even did a fish fry here one night & it was super fun! reservations are recommended!

las brisas: the views here are beautiful & the tapas don’t disappoint either!

what to do in turks & caicos

As most do on tropical getaways, we spent all day at the beach or pool! Our room had a private infinity pool overlooking the water which was incredible, highly recommend! 🐚 But, if you’re looking for some excursion ideas, keep reading!

We took a boat out to grace bay & stopped at noah’s ark floating beach bar & club! It is set just off the coast of Little Water Cay near Providenciales in Turks and Caicos & you can take the ferry there from blue haven marina. The views are beautiful, the live music is great & it’s a must see while you’re there! Try to go on a sunday – that’s the big party day there!

We rented a boat one day from island adventure TCI, they have a ton of different rentals and tours that you can do!

We also rented jet skis one day from a local rental company. They just came over to our villa so we got their contact info and rented them the next day. It was a blast, we took them out to see an old abandoned pirate ship! We stopped on our way there to go swimming because the water is out of this world. It’s so blue & clear, you’ll want to spend all day in it! 🐠

If you want to dance, be sure to stop by da conch shack – they have live music on wednesday nights & all weekend long!

what to wear in turks & caicos

We all know I’m not a light packer & this trip was no different! I like to bring an outfit or two & a bikini for every day (+ way too many purses & far too many pairs of shoes). Don’t forget to always pack a book, some sunnies & suntan lotion for your beach getaways! 🌊

Here are some of my faves & some of Alex’s outfits, too!
