we rented out mints & honey in burlingame, ca for the shower and it was so cute! the space is so beautifully decorated that we really didn’t need to supplement with too many decorations ourselves.

we used balloon boss for the backdrop, it came out so cute!!

ultimate baby shower checklist

there’s a ton to do when it comes to hosting a baby shower! But, for starters, it’s recommended to have the shower 1-2 months out from your due date, that will give you enough time to organize and settle in with all your new gifts while still being comfortable enough to celebrate!
I made a detailed list for you to pin to save for when you need it!

baby shower checklist:

Decide who is hosting
Choose Theme
Choose date
Set a Budget
Choose a location
Make guest list
Choose vendors - we decided on balloons, cake pops, & cookies
Send out invites - we got ours from minted!
Choose food and drink
Gather RSVPS
Choose games

the invites

we got the invites from minted & they are too cute! We went with the elephant garden theme. We got the invites, the thank you cards, the stickers and the thank you gift tags!

the sign + extras

my mom got this cute elephant sign from etsy to match the theme + these cute pens for games! We also booked vendors for balloon arches, cake pops and cookies!

nana’s sweets & treats made us the most beautiful & delicious cake pops!

we decorated the tables with little bells, bows, pens for the games and elephant ears! we also grabbed some blue champagne flutes for mimosas!

the games

we all know how showers are so make sure you plan for some fun games! we printed out all the games on cardstock!

pin this for some more ideas & here are a ton more fun ideas!

guess the baby food: Place different kinds of baby food in unmarked jars and number the lids. You'll have the list that states which food is in each jar. Try using mashed peas, applesauce, and different vegetable purees. Then, have guests try each the food in each jar and write down what they think they're tasting

guess the sweet mess: You will need to prep some diapers with a different melted candy bar in each. Line up the diapers on a table. Have each guest sniff (or taste with their finger) the chocolate and take a guess at which kind of candy bar it is. Make sure each guest has a pen to write down their guesses. The guest with the most correct guesses wins!

guess who? mom or dad edition: Ask your guests fun questions like "who will change the most diapers?" "who will cry more when baby is born?" & more! If mom & dad will be at the shower, you can have them sit back to back, each holding one of each other's shoes, and have them answer the questions in real time by holding up the correct shoe . If not, be sure to get an answer key before the party starts!

another fun thing people like to do at baby showers is get some advice or inspiration from their family and friends to look back on as they raise their child, or for the baby to read when they get older. here are some ideas of what you can ask for from your guests! Just be sure to supply them with note cards or a notebook for them to write it down!
