We took a family vacation to Malibu, California! Malibu has a laid back beach vibe, upscale living, and a small town feel. It’s known for its shopping, dining, and stunning ocean views. Keep reading to find out all of my recommendations on what to do, see, and eat on your next trip to Malibu!

My Top 5 Outfits for Malibu
Where We Stayed
local air bnb: we rented a local 4 bedroom house with great ocean views. the property was STUNNING and within walking distance to the beach. great location near restaurants and shopping!
What We Ate
- geoffreys malibu: recommended by one of my followers! beautiful views and amazing food.
- the griddle cafe: breakfast with huge portions. the pancakes are amazing but definitely share plates.
- noi due trattoria: nice italian restaurant. we particularly loved the amaretto and tiramisu!
- broad street coffee: great local coffee shop. i tried the matcha latte and it was delish.
- the sunset restaurant: right on the water with a fun beachside house vibe. outdoor dining is on the sand so bring sandals.
- spruzzo restaurant & bar: casual dining with great ocean views.

What We Did
- malibu country mart: great spot for local dining and some great shopping. also had a cute playground for turner. aleks even enjoyed the swings.
- pool day: we spent a day relaxing at the house, sunbathing by the pool, and enjoying the amenities provided at the airbnb.
- family hike: malibu has tons of great hiking spots for the entire family with GEORGOUS views of the cliffs and ocean.
- local beaches: with miles of coastline a beach day is a must! it was a bit chilly this time of year but no less beautiful.
- day trip to santa monica/la: checked out the santa monica pier, local shopping, beaches and parks. fun day of exploring!
What To Wear
- pack lots of swimsuits, sunnies, and sunscreen.
- flowy dresses and sandals are perfect for a relaxed resortwear style.
- be sure to bring some layering pieces for cooler nights.
