local air bnb: we rented out a local townhome in the heart of lisbon. beautiful views of the city & a great location within walking distance of shops & dining.

- a brasileira: the best pastel de nata! & i tried a lot!
- clara’s em castelo: hidden gem mediterranean spot.
- nortada restaurante: on the ocean, great fries & soup!
- o ninho: cutest back patio for pics & brunch was good too.
- gelato therapy: gelato [with lids 🙌🏽] right by our place.
- da prata 52: tapas, first come first serve but pretty easy to get in.
- pasteis de belem: the birthplace of the pastel de nata. my 2nd favorite of this trip.
- swaagat the taste of india: great indian food even though they have pictures on the menu.
- boubou’s: instaworthy preset dinner menu. do the vegetarian option vs. the carnivore.
- a margem: lunch spot overlooking the river.

Lisbon: What We Did
- castelo de sao jorge: castle on the highest hill of lisbon, over 1000 years old, so many steps but the view is worth it!
- sintra private day trip: booked through viator & loved having a guide through the castles. favorite was castela de s jorge
- lx factory: great spot for some shopping and art.
- cascais, lisbon: beautiful drive along the coast for a day trip. cute little beach town. take a picture at the boca do inferno.
- torre de belem: cool castle that overlooks whats known as the golden gate bridge of Portugal.

challet fonte nova: a charming converted mansion with stunning gardens. the breakfast setup was EMACULATE 🥐
ga palace hotel: great modern and luxurious hotel in porto. walk to most of the city and the pool/spa was STUNNING 🙌🏽

- mito: a fine dinning option with a cool modern vibe.
- restaurante antonio padeiro: super cute homey kitchen vibes.
- pastelaria pão da vila: i got the chichpea burger and it was aaamazing
- porta4: the yummiest and smallest restaurant. so fun!
- terra nova: beautiful location to have dinner right on the river.
- majestic cafe: beautiful place to stop for coffee and desert. also helped inspire the harry potter series.
Porto: What We Did
- miradouro da serra do pilar: best spot to watch the sunset and great pics
- dom luis bridge: walk back across the high part after the sunset bridge is famous for its engineering brilliance and aesthetic beauty.
- livraria lello: tagged the most beautiful bookstore in the world. also a great inspiration for the harry potter books.
- douro valley: we booked a winery day tour. think napa valley but hills
- porto food markets: such a fun way to taste lots of different cuisines.
- lady of our sanctuary fatima: one of the most important landmarks in the marian worship, drawing pilgrims from all over the world.
- obidos, portugal: super cute little town built inside fortified walls.
- ericeira, portugal: 100% must visit this little city. beautiful, relaxed, little surf town.

Portugal has so much character and beauty. This destination is one that I could see myself coming back to again and again to discover new gems. There is so much history, culture, food, and shopping to keep you busy for weeks! Be sure to pack lots of layering pieces and grab some ponchos or an umbrella for those European rainy days.
