Where We Stayed
family vacation home: we stayed at our families vacation home. however, there are several great airbnb and hotel options. casa isleña is a beachfront hotel that comes highly recommended.
Where We Ate
- bakku: new sushi spot with rave reviews. i put this on our list for next time.
- la sirena: they had some of the best sushi I have ever had!
- la copa llena: my top dinner rec! try the cauliflower mushroom soup and the beet salad.
- the english rose: gorgeous views. service was a little slow and the portions are small but the quesadilla was great.
- wabbles milk bar: super cute place to cool down and grab some ice cream and gelato.
- calypso: open mike night on wednesdays and a bomb brownie and ice cream dessert.
- tamboo: right on the beach. perfect place to pop in for a midday snack.
- casa isleña: cute restaurant right by the water. food was good not great.

What We Did
- beach day: spend a day at the beach catching some sun. rincon has tons of beautiful beaches. steps beach, parking lot beach, maria’s beach and sandy beach are all great options.
- sunset sail: reserve a catamaran for a gorgeous sunset sail along the coast. check out katarina sail charters for more info.
- surf lessons: take your group down to the beach and have some fun learning to catch waves during a surfing lesson… or just fall off a lot and still have a blast.
- shop local: the downtown area has some really great shops. my favorite was ocean state of mind. they had cute clothes and gift options.
What To Wear
- pack lots of swimsuits, sunnies, and sunscreen.
- flowy dresses and sandals are perfect for dining and checking out local shops.
